KP and Jaimini: understand the method before the result
An introduction to two distinct astrological systems and the calculation choices a responsible tool must expose.
KP system
Star lords, sub-lords, cusps, and why its settings cannot be inferred from a D1 Rashi chart.
↗Classical systemJaimini system
Chara karakas, arudha, sign-based rules, and variation between commentaries.
↗Keep systems distinct
A single birth instant can be studied using different systems. The same input does not make their house, node, division, or interpretive rules interchangeable. A result should name its own school, source, settings, and exceptions.
The chart tool begins with a D1 Rashi chart and adds specified derived calculations: seven Jaimini karakas, arudha padas, and KP-style planetary star/sub-lords. It does not generate KP cusps or Jaimini dashas, and it does not relabel a whole-sign house as a KP cusp.
